Kia Ora parents/caregivers,

As you know we have classroom photos and siblings photos happening at our kura this Thursday (22nd Oct). You should have received a form for siblings photos last week. If you would like your children to take a sibling photo, you must complete the form (attached) with your children's names, surnames, and classroom numbers. This needs to be completed and given to the school office before Thursday morning.

Photolife will not be taking photos of siblings if this form hasn't been completed before then.

If you need another form, please pick one up at the school office or have children's pick one up.

See below the attachment of the sibling form.

Kia Ora Rongomai,

We've been made aware by our school nurses that there are helpful services for whānau and tamariki available at Unichem Otara. All details are in the attachment!

Kia ora e te whānau,

I was informed this morning of an incident in our wider community before school. Two students were approached by adults in a car and were asked to get in. One of the adults told the students they were a teacher at a nearby school. The students did not engage and are safe.

Police have been notified, and schools in the area are aware.

All students are safe. We are sharing this to keep our community informed and to reinforce simple safety messages with our tamariki:

• Do not go with anyone you do not know, even if they say they are from a school
• Stay with others when travelling to and from school
• Tell a trusted adult straight away if something does not feel right

We will continue to keep a close watch around our gates at drop-off and pick-up times, including along our walking bus routes.

Thank you for your ongoing support in keeping our tamariki safe.

Ngā mihi,
 Sarah Faifua
