Mōrena Rongomai whānau,

Our first pōwhiri of the year will be held tomorrow, Thursday 5 February at 10.40am, to welcome our new students and their families to our students.

All whānau are very welcome to attend.

We look forward to sharing this occasion with you.

Kia ora Rongomai whānau,

If your child is a Year 3–6 student, they will have received a newsletter about the Community Swim swimming lessons, which begin next Tuesday, 10 February.

Please ensure you have signed the permission form and that your child returns it to school by this Thursday, 5 February. Any children who do not have permission to attend will remain at school during the lessons.

If your child is participating, they will need to bring:

- Swimming togs
- A towel
- A bag for wet togs
- Goggles (if they have them)

Just a reminder that school is closed this Friday, 6 February for Waitangi Day and next Monday, 9 February for a Staff Only Day.
Please ensure you have adequate supervision for your children on both these days.

Our school office is now open for enrolments, or to purchase uniform or stationery for this year. Our opening hours are 8.30am-2.00pm each week day (except for next Monday, 26th January 2026  as this is a public holiday).

As we approach the end of the year, here are a few important reminders:

• School finishes at 12.00pm tomorrow, 16 December. Please ensure your tamariki are collected on time and have appropriate supervision for the remainder of the day.
• Uniform and stationery purchases, as well as enrolments, will be available from 20 January, between 8.00am and 2.30pm.
• School will begin on Wednesday, 28 January 2026.
• Summer Reading Programme: If your child is part of this programme and has chosen not to receive all of their books on the final day of term, summer reading books will be delivered to your home during the holidays

As always, to all our Rongomaites, we wish you a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable holiday break. Please remember to wear sunscreen and stay well hydrated when spending time in the sun. We look forward to welcoming you all back next year ????
