Hi, my name is Carol Vaha’akolo.

I am of Tongan and Maori descent. ‘Family’ is what matters most to me.

Otara has always been a place that I call home. Being raised in Otara has enabled me to know who I am and where I come from. To continue a family legacy of giving back to the community is such an honour.

I am so thankful to be a part of an amazing team at Rongomai School.  I LOVE my job.

Like many people, my goal this year is to be a Champion to my students!!

“Every child deserves a champion – an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection and insists that they become the best that they can possibly be.Rita Pierson
